Didja Notice?

Zoe meets a group of former soldiers from the 55th Overlanders of the Independent Planets' military. Zoe and Mal were part of the 57th Overlanders during the Unification War.

During Zoe's flashback to the war on page 11, one of Zoe and Mal's superior officers tells them they're all headed for the planet Hera and a place called Serenity Valley. Serenity Valley was the location of the battle which essentially finished the Independents' chances in the war.

On page 16, after Kaylee seems content to let Chang run the ship in Zoe's absence, Simon points out that Chang ran the gang that tried to rob them on Bethlehem. They last dealt with Chang's former gang in "The Spilling of Blood".
