Khan's trial comes to an end.
Didja Know?
Star Trek: Khan was a 5-issue
mini-series published by IDW.
Didja Notice?
As Khan brings up information on his cryosleeping followers
on a Section 31 computer on page 4, panel 3, a sub-window
labeled Arrick Robotics is seen, along with the website
address
www.robotics.com and the term "Arobot controller". These
are all references to modern day company
Arrick Robotics.
This issue reveals that Section 31 performed a mind-wipe and
facial reconstruction on Khan before awakening him from his
cryosleep in order to prevent him from
realizing who he really is and thus making him easier to
control.
Page 18, panel 2 shows the Royal
Children's Hospital, previously seen in
Star Trek Into Darkness. Panel 3 depicts Thomas Harewood visiting
his daughter at the hospital and panel 4 the wreckage of the
Kelvin Archive, both also scenes from the film.
The story ends with Khan sentenced to cryosleep with the
rest of his crew, as he was last seen at the end of
Star Trek Into Darkness.
Unanswered Questions
As Kirk asks at the end of the issue, was Khan's story of
his past accurate? Or embroidered to make himself the hero
of his own story?
