On page 5, Nero intends to have Captain Robau's body thrown
into the Narada's replicators so the elements
of his body would
not go to waste. However, after capturing the Narada,
Klingon Captain Kor has the body taken back to Kronos with
them, as it may still prove useful. Perhaps Robau's body
became the basis for Klingon agents who were altered to
appear human as seen in the original series episode "The
Trouble With Tribbles"?
On page 6, Nero ruminates on Romulus and the Apnex Sea. The
Apnex Sea is a body of water on Romulus mentioned in the
ST-TNG episode "The Defector".
On page 13, Klingon Captain Kor appears, commanding the
IKS Klothos. Kor appeared in the Star Trek
original series episode "Errand of Mercy". According to the
original series timeline, however, Kor should be only a
Commander, not Captain, and not yet in command of the
Klothos. Also, at this point in time, he should have a
more human-looking form due to the augment virus that was
released upon the Klingon Empire according to the Star
Trek: Enterprise episode "Divergence", not the "pure"
Klingon form seen here.
Notice that on page 13, panel 3, half of Kor's mustache is
missing!
On page 19, Nero is interrogated on the Klingon prison
colony of Rura Penthe by a Klingon named Koth. Koth is seen
as the commandant of Rura Penthe in the 1991 film Star
Trek: The Undiscovered Country.
