the Enterprise on a course right into the middle of it
to rescue the landing party captured by Kor on Khitomer.

This issue opens on stardate 2261.149.
On page 8, a Section 31 operative refers to Commander
L'Nar's ship as Raptor One. This sounds more like a codename
assigned to it by Section 31 than the actual Romulan name of
the vessel.
On page 16, Kirk states that the Romulans are the only ones
with any red matter left. This was the case at the end of
"Vulcan's Vengeance" Part 2 and seen in
"After Darkness" Part 2.
On the last page of the issue, Yuki Sulu reveals to her
brother and the rest of the landing party that she is with
Section 31, remarking that Hikaru was approached for
recruitment, but turned it down. He was approached to join
some kind of secret organization within Starfleet in
"Return of the
Archons" Part 1; we did not see there his response to
the offer.
